7/27/2024Portlandia Mermaid Parade & Festival | Portland, OregonThe Parade is free for all ages, Just dress up and show up! It starts at the Japanese Historical Plaza and casually makes the way down the waterfront to Poet's Beach. It is little over a mile long and takes about 30-45 minutes! 9/22/20242024 Mermaid Series Run | San Francisco (Chrissy Field, San Francisco, CA)The 16th Annual Mermaid Run San Francisco includes a 5k, 10k Sirena10 mile, Mermaid Dash. The 10 Mile "Cross the GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE" with the Sirena10 Mile course is guaranteed to get the best of the BEST views of San Francisco. After crossing the bridge on the Pacific side you'll return on the bay side for stunning views of the San Francisco skyline. The 10K course goes up and into the Presidio for where you'll soak in views of the bay and the Pacific Ocean. Run underneath the Golden Gate Bridge and pass by the historic Fort Point before heading to the finish. The 5K is flat, yes totally flat. The 5K is great for joggers, walkers and runners looking for the picturesque views without the hills. The Mermaid Dash is a 1.5 mile dash for girls and boys ages 6 to 12. The dash participants receive a medal, necklace and post race food. Note: The dash entry does not include a race shirt. The event features an ocean swim in the sheltered waters around the Capitola Wharf and views of the Pacific Ocean with a relatively flat fun bike course featuring a gradual climb into the coastal redwoods, followed by a run on the ocean bluff overlooking Capitola Village.
